AV Field Technician III

Location: Field-based role in Torrance, California, United States

What you will do

• Install and terminate AV cabling, including copper and fiber connections.
• Install, rack, mount, and integrate commercial AV equipment and control platforms such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot videoconferencing systems including Polycom, Cisco, and LifeSize.
• Read and interpret AV engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites while completing projects on schedule.
• Collaborate with technicians, site leads, project teams, and customers on site.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience installing commercial AV systems.
• Strong experience pulling, terminating, and testing AV cabling.
• Experience with major AV manufacturers, control systems, and commercial videoconferencing technologies.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a high school diploma or GED.

Nice to have

• CTS, Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications.
• Fiber termination experience.
• Experience in enterprise, government, or large commercial environments.
