Location: Onsite in Seward or Soldotna, AK. Must be able to work in a remote arctic environment.

What you will do

• Install and troubleshoot analog and digital systems for video, voice, and data from the tap to the customer premise.
• Perform routine maintenance on RF, microwave, fiber optic, and AC/DC components.
• Measure and adjust signal strength using industry-standard test equipment to ensure optimum reception.
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance, including underground cable locates, rewiring, and outage response.
• Coordinate with dispatch and SMC to update service orders and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Provide on-site customer support, explain equipment operation, and promote additional service offerings.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a technical role or related background.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet on poles/ladders and in trenches up to 10 feet.
• Ability to tolerate extreme arctic weather conditions and work in remote environments.
• Physical capacity to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics or a relevant technical field.
