Senior Director, Application Development and Enterprise Architecture (AI)

What you will do

• Define and execute an 18- to 36-month enterprise technology and AI strategy across client solutions, shared platforms, applications, architecture, and engineering.
• Transform Channel Solutions platforms into reusable Helix architecture and develop domain modules for rebate management, incentive processing, pricing, and related channel offerings.
• Lead the productionization of predictive AI, machine learning, generative AI, copilots, and agentic workflows with governance, evaluation, observability, privacy, and cost controls.
• Govern enterprise and solution architecture, integration patterns, engineering standards, cloud-native delivery, reliability, security, and AI operations.
• Build and coach globally distributed engineering, AI, integration, quality, reliability, and sales engineering capabilities.
• Support strategic client pursuits through discovery, solution architecture, prototyping, estimation, RFP responses, and reusable commercial solutions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software, application, platform or product engineering and enterprise architecture, including 7+ years leading engineering organizations and distributed teams.
• At least 5 years of sustained accountability for enterprise AI and machine learning, including strategy, production delivery, governance, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
• Production experience with generative and agentic AI, including grounding, evaluation, human controls, safety, privacy, performance, and unit economics.
• Strong expertise in distributed architecture, APIs, event-driven systems, integrations, cloud services, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, observability, SRE, FinOps, and data platforms.
• Experience integrating enterprise marketing, advertising, customer experience, commerce, analytics, identity, customer data, or CRM platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in marketing services, digital transformation consulting, enterprise SaaS, martech, adtech, or customer experience technology.
• Experience converting bespoke delivery into reusable intellectual property, managed solutions, accelerators, or platform modules.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, Adobe, Salesforce, customer data platforms, marketing automation, commerce, or enterprise analytics tools.
• Experience serving automotive, manufacturing, industrial, distribution, dealer, franchise, or other complex B2B organizations.
• Relevant cloud, security, enterprise architecture, data, or AI certifications.
