TL;DR
Electrical Design Engineer (HVAC): Designing, testing, and supporting electrical systems for HVAC equipment with an accent on schematics, wiring diagrams, control systems, and compliance with electrical standards. Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; onsite work in office, engineering lab, and manufacturing environments

What you will do

  • Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems for HVAC products.
  • Test, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in electrical components and systems.
  • Support new product development, product enhancements, manufacturing, and field service.
  • Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, documentation, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, quality, production, and field service teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives focused on functionality, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuits, and control systems.
  • Ability to interpret and develop electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, CAD software, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including UL and NEC, with strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in manufacturing or HVAC systems.
  • Experience providing guidance and support to entry-level engineers.
