Director, Operations - Crop Insurance (Crop Insurance)

Location: Spokane, Washington, United States; hybrid flexibility available after an initial in-office training period. Travel of up to 40%, including overnight travel throughout the AgWest territory, is required. Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates who must relocate.

Base salary: $66,200–$125,200 annually; typical starting range is $66,200–$88,700. Annual performance-based incentive target: 12% or 15% of base salary, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Organize insurance specialist workflows, set priorities, and maintain high-quality customer service.
• Manage processing of MPCI and Hail business, renewal forms, tracking, databases, and operational reports.
• Review crop insurance provisions and coordinate accurate renewal and marketing materials with agents and marketing staff.
• Ensure applications, forms, reports, procedures, and internal controls comply with applicable regulations.
• Lead employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
• Maintain crop insurance expertise through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or an agriculture-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least four years of administrative, insurance, and/or management experience.
• Advanced understanding of agriculture and insurance services.
• Strong administrative, customer service, leadership, hiring, and team development skills.
• Appropriate state insurance agent license(s), or the ability to obtain and maintain required license(s) within six months of starting.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% throughout the AgWest territory.
