Insurance Unit Manager/Supervisor

Location: Poway, California; onsite work required. Schedule flexibility may include weekends and night shifts.

Salary: $77,900–$133,250 annually, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims associates delivering customer service.
• Guide associates in resolving complex customer inquiries and insurance claims.
• Monitor team performance through KPIs to improve efficiency, satisfaction, and retention.
• Maintain accountability for results, insurance regulatory compliance, and service quality.
• Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on customer experience and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree plus 2+ years of supervisory experience, or 4+ years of supervisory experience in lieu of a degree; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience managing teams in insurance, financial services, call center, retail, or another industry.
• Ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, data analysis, and results-oriented decision-making skills.
• Ability to work onsite to support associates.
• Schedule flexibility, including possible weekends and night shifts, is required.
