Principal Full Stack Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: New York City office with a hybrid schedule of two or more days per week; remote arrangements may be available within the United States with periodic travel to New York City.

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build critical enterprise clinical workflow systems and secure services connecting users to health information.
• Solve distributed-systems problems with a focus on elasticity, reliability, performance, and automated validation.
• Design and build scalable platform features such as global search, audit logging, administration, and entitlement management.
• Own business problems, turn ideas into system designs, and lead developers through execution.
• Mentor and lead engineers while delivering mission-critical healthcare technology.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience solving distributed-systems or web-development problems.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers.
• Ability to work across different layers of the stack and unfamiliar problem domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available, including H-1B, TN, O-1, L-1, or green card sponsorship.

Nice to have

• GraphQL and frameworks such as Relay, Apollo, or URQL.
• Experience with LLMs and MLOps.
• Docker and orchestration technologies such as ECS or EKS.
• Live-update web applications using pub/sub systems or WebSockets.
• Observability, monitoring, logging, metrics, React, TypeScript, OpenSearch, HIPAA, PHI, or PII compliance experience.
