Fullstack Staff Software Engineer (TypeScript/React/Node)

Location: Remote, based in the United States

Salary: $152,000–$282,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and optimize high-traffic web shopping experiences across consumer banking and credit card products.
• Develop performant frontend experiences and scalable backend APIs and microservices.
• Partner with product, SEO, paid marketing, and engineering leadership to run experiments and shape the technical roadmap.
• Drive initiatives involving performance, observability, scalability, security, resilience, and developer experience.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, and support platform stability.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote strong practices in coding, testing, architecture, and AI tooling adoption.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development and distributed systems experience.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node, with experience using Next and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web performance, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO.
• Experience architecting scalable backend APIs and microservices, including SQL and NoSQL databases and high-volume data processing.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security and compliance practices in financial services, plus experience operating production applications at scale.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience integrating machine learning systems, personalization pipelines, and data-driven experimentation.
• Finance, shopping marketplace, accessibility, usability, paid search, or organic search domain knowledge.
