What you will do

• Build and maintain server-side features in Next.js App Router using TypeScript, including route handlers, server components, and caching strategies.
• Design and harden integrations with third-party APIs ensuring reliability with timeouts, retries, and graceful degradation.
• Own caching strategy across Redis and Cloudflare balancing freshness, performance, and cost.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS using Docker with instrumentation in DataDog for observability.
• Write meaningful end-to-end tests with Microsoft Playwright for critical flows.
• Optimize site rendering and SEO-critical surface for crawler behavior and performance.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with server-side production web applications.
• Strong TypeScript and Next.js experience including App Router, ISR, streaming, and server components.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs with robust error handling and fallback strategies.
• Solid knowledge of caching (Redis) and CDN behavior (Cloudflare) including cache invalidation and stale-while-revalidate patterns.
• Comfortable with AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Working knowledge of SEO crawler behavior, structured data, canonicalization, and crawl budget management.

Nice to have

• Background in high-traffic content, media, or publishing sites with SEO as a primary acquisition channel.
• Experience with structured data (JSON-LD, schema.org), automated sitemaps, and SEO auditing tools.
• Familiarity with analytics and event pipelines like Segment, PostHog, or GTM.
• Experience with subscription, paywall, or e-commerce flows.
• Genuine interest in financial markets, investing, or fintech.
