Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (Pharmacy)

Location: New Albany, Ohio, United States; on-site. Day shift: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. on a rotating 2-2-3-2 schedule.

Salary: $65 per hour for US-based candidates. The role also includes equity.

What you will do

• Direct sterile compounding activities in accordance with USP 797, USP 800, state regulations, and federal requirements.
• Maintain aseptic technique, cleanroom standards, environmental monitoring, workflow, and daily documentation.
• Train and provide technical guidance to pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel performing sterile preparation activities.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance checks, quality control checks, material reviews, and visual inspections.
• Oversee sterile compounding equipment, preparation and movement of materials, labeling, packaging, and coordination with maintenance and quality teams.
• Collaborate with R&D on the development and scale-up of new compounded sterile preparations and coordinate personnel, regulatory, quality, and compliance matters.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of pharmacist experience.
• PharmD or bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution, with an active pharmacist license in Ohio.
• Experience with sterile compounding, preferably using non-sterile starting components, and proficiency in USP 797 and USP 800.
• Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, FDA requirements, HIPAA regulations, and Board of Pharmacy rules.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, use Windows-based computer systems, lead in-person pharmacy teams, and complete required external training.
• Must be medically approved for respirator use and able to complete respirator fit testing; full beards or substantial facial hair may prevent a proper seal. Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical work, wear required PPE, and lift up to 50 pounds is required.

• Experience compounding from non-sterile starting components.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and compounding workflow software.
