Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, at 2401 W. Grandview Road

What you will do

• Follow proprietary formulations to compound commercially unavailable prescriptions into appropriate dosage forms.
• Prepare sterile injectables, ophthalmics, oral liquids, topical agents, and tablets.
• Maintain, calibrate, and document scales, electronic meters, and other laboratory equipment.
• Perform continuous quality assurance, prepare samples for testing, document procedures, and initiate deviation investigations.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, inspect chemicals and inventory, and dispose of materials safely.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacist in Charge, facility pharmacists, supervisors, and Quality Assurance personnel.

Requirements

• Current national certification and state licensure in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of pharmacy calculations, medical terminology, compounding principles, and cGMP FDA 503B guidelines.
• Knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, potency control, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to wear required sterile protective equipment and OSHA 95 respiratory protection, pass medical clearance, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice to have

• One year of compounding experience.
• Prior compounding experience; training is provided.
