Federal Airfield Project Manager – Michels Road & Stone, Inc.

Location: Lomira, Wisconsin, United States; travel to project sites as needed

What you will do

• Serve as the primary interface with federal agencies, project owners, and federal partners.
• Coordinate construction, engineering, safety, quality, and operations teams across heavy civil, energy, utility, and other federal projects.
• Maintain relationships with USACE, NAVFAC, and other federal stakeholders.
• Lead project kickoffs, progress meetings, partnering sessions, and internal and external communications.
• Support schedules, submittals, documentation, reporting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and federal project planning.
• Assist with proposals, pre-bid activities, issue resolution, risk identification, and resource coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• At least five years of project management experience on federal projects.
• Required experience working with federal owners such as USACE and/or NAVFAC.
• Familiarity with federal contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific processes.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to travel to project sites; Primavera P6 experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Technical experience across civil, trenchless, marine, energy, utility, or similar construction projects.
