Project Engineer (Aviation)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Lead and produce complete aviation engineering designs, including plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and estimates.
• Evaluate design alternatives and select solutions that balance technical quality, constructability, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate technical work with project managers, internal disciplines, subconsultants, clients, public agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Review work prepared by engineers, EITs, designers, and technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Identify technical risks, resolve design issues, and support adherence to project budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior technical staff and provide engineering guidance across the assigned service area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• At least 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with applicable engineering design and analysis software.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
