TL;DR
Senior Environmental Project Manager (NEPA) (Environmental Regulation): Coordinating and authoring environmental assessments and regulatory consultation documentation for NEPA and ESA projects with an accent on Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Habitat Conservation Plans, and Biological Assessments. Focus on managing stakeholder and client engagement, preparing regulatory filings and permits, and developing environmental project opportunities.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and author environmental assessments and regulatory consultation documentation for NEPA and ESA projects.
  • Prepare Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Habitat Conservation Plans, and Biological Assessments.
  • Manage project stakeholders, client communications, budgets, project plans, deliverable quality, and reporting.
  • Prepare for meetings with clients, stakeholders, and local, state, and federal regulators.
  • Manage permit applications, regulatory filings, status reports, habitat assessments, and other client-facing deliverables.
  • Represent the firm in client development, public forums, proposals, RFQs, and strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience preparing environmental assessments for regulatory audiences, including CWA Section 404, ESA Section 10, and NEPA.
  • Advanced knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act Section 404, and Rivers and Harbors Act Section 10.
  • Exceptional technical writing, oral communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to work office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with Waters of the United States regulations and Section 401 and 404 permits.
  • TxDOT environmental pre-certifications.
  • ArcGIS proficiency.
