Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate scalable, highly available, and secure platform services across AWS and GCP.
• Build the Internal Developer Platform with self-service capabilities, APIs, golden paths, service scaffolding, SDKs, CLIs, and developer portal experiences.
• Establish Terraform-based infrastructure automation, GitOps CI/CD, progressive delivery, observability, SLO management, and incident response practices.
• Design and operate enterprise identity services using platforms such as Keycloak and Entra ID, including authentication, authorization, federation, RBAC, and governance.
• Operate Kafka-based event-streaming platforms and define standards for schemas, resiliency, scalability, and event governance.
• Build AI-powered developer tooling, including RAG systems, agents, MCP integrations, engineering copilots, automation assistants, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and production observability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering, including 2+ years building, deploying, or operating AI/LLM-powered solutions.
• Strong software engineering experience with production applications, APIs, services, or developer tooling; proficiency in Python, Go, or equivalent languages.
• Deep expertise in AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps.
• Production experience with identity platforms such as Keycloak, Entra ID, or Auth0, and knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWTs, and RBAC.
• Production experience with Kafka or enterprise event-streaming platforms, plus RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, AI agents, tool calling, MCP integrations, and AI governance.

Nice to have

• Experience productionizing governed agentic systems with permissions, auditability, rollback, failure handling, and human approval workflows.
• Experience integrating AI with GitHub, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Backstage, and other enterprise engineering platforms.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agent Framework, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Experience building Backstage-based developer portals, AI evaluation pipelines, benchmark datasets, and developer productivity metrics.
• Experience supporting regulated environments and security compliance frameworks.
