Financial Analyst (AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Salary: $59,000–$114,300 annually, varying by U.S. geographic market, knowledge, position level, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting for assigned business units.
• Partner with business leaders to explain performance drivers, anticipate risks, and support data-backed decisions.
• Query large financial datasets using SQL and other data systems to surface planning and performance insights.
• Automate recurring reporting and analytical workflows and develop tools that improve access to financial data.
• Use quantitative methods, Python-adjacent skills, and AI tools to improve analytical workflows while applying human judgment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience, or equivalent analytical internship and project experience in a data-focused role.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related quantitative field such as mathematics, data science, statistics, or economics.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience building financial models used in planning cycles.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets and querying data as needed.
• Strong analytical communication skills, including presenting clear, well-visualized narratives to non-finance audiences.
• Active use of AI tools to improve analytical work and ability to distinguish AI efficiency opportunities from areas requiring human judgment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OneStream, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with statistical or econometric modeling, regression, forecasting, Monte Carlo methods, or hypothesis testing.
