Financial Analyst (FP&A/AI)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Salary: $59,000–$114,300 annually, varying by work location, knowledge, position level, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting for assigned business units.
• Partner with business leaders to explain performance drivers, anticipate risks, and support data-backed decisions.
• Query large financial datasets with SQL and other data systems to surface planning and performance insights.
• Automate recurring reporting and analytical workflows and help build self-service financial data tools.
• Use quantitative methods and AI tools to improve the quality, speed, and scalability of analytical work.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience, or equivalent analytical internship and project experience in a data-focused role.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related quantitative field such as mathematics, data science, statistics, economics, or quantitative analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including hands-on financial modeling used in real planning cycles.
• Experience working with and querying large or complex datasets.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to explain financial drivers through clear visual narratives.
• Active use of AI tools and sound judgment about where AI creates efficiency versus where human judgment is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OneStream, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or R for advanced data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with statistical or econometric modeling, including regression, forecasting, Monte Carlo models, or hypothesis testing.
