Mechanical Technician

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States; full-time onsite role with extensive travel to data center construction sites

What you will do

• Stage, move, inventory, and organize mechanical materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Assist skilled trades with supports, strut, insulation, lagging, bolt-up, and basic mechanical assembly.
• Support equipment installation for pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, and related mechanical systems.
• Maintain orderly, safe work areas through protection, debris removal, scrap segregation, and end-of-shift resets.
• Follow LOTO, PPE, and permit procedures; report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, and drawing conflicts.
• Support punch-list completion, cleanup, and system turnover during construction and commissioning.

Requirements

• At least one year of construction, warehouse, manufacturing, mechanical-helper, or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and on changing construction sites.
• Safe use of basic hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to travel extensively and remain onsite during peak construction phases.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift moderate loads, stand and walk for a full shift, and wear PPE for extended periods.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during critical construction windows.

Nice to have

• Experience on industrial, mechanical, or data center construction sites.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks, basic rigging, and mechanical fasteners.
• OSHA 10 or equivalent training.
• Ability to read simple plans or spool sheets.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
