Lift Specialist

What you will do

• Stand up the rigging workcenter, including scoping cranes and lift fixtures for critical manufacturing lifts.
• Build training and certification programs for rigging and lift safety.
• Partner with Build Engineering to define safe, repeatable processes for critical lifts.
• Fabricate, modify, maintain, and iterate tooling for new product introduction and evolving designs.
• Operate welding, water jet, laser tracking, manual machine shop, and general assembly equipment.
• Help scale tooling processes and practices as the team grows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in tooling fabrication, including modifying established tools and fabricating new ones.
• Hands-on experience with welding, water jet operation, laser tracking, manual mills and lathes, and general assembly.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight on program-critical timelines.
• Experience collaborating directly with engineering on new tool development and design.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a bias toward quickly unblocking programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

• Experience with tooling as a critical-path item during a program ramp.
• Experience establishing or scaling a tooling function.
• Cross-training across multiple fabrication processes.
• Experience mentoring less experienced tooling technicians.
