Project Engineer - Public Works (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead complete engineering designs, including plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Develop traffic and transportation designs covering intersection geometry, signing, pavement markings, and traffic control.
• Prepare and review traffic impact analyses, safety assessments, and operational evaluations.
• Lead roadway and highway design, evaluating alignments, typical sections, right-of-way impacts, and costs.
• Lead planning and design for wastewater collection systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, internal disciplines, subconsultants, clients, public agencies, and external stakeholders while reviewing technical work and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Minimum of four years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable design and analysis software.
• Strong communication, organizational, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime.
