Civil Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Wichita, Kansas; residence in or near Wichita is required. Candidates willing to relocate may indicate this in their application. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. hirify.global is not currently hiring employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico.

Base compensation: $110,000–$130,000, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the growth of the municipal civil practice in Wichita and surrounding communities.
• Manage relationships with municipalities, utilities, counties, developers, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as project manager and technical lead for public infrastructure and selected private development projects.
• Develop project scopes, fees, schedules, staffing plans, delivery approaches, and quality-management strategies.
• Lead proposals, interviews, client presentations, public meetings, and community engagements.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a local civil engineering team while coordinating resources across hirify.global.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer license in Kansas is required.
• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects and leading teams.
• Broad technical skills across civil infrastructure disciplines.
• Experience building client trust, developing business, and supporting proposals and project pursuits.
• Strong understanding of the Wichita municipal, utility, regulatory, and development environment.
• Ability to communicate confidently with councils, boards, associations, clients, and community stakeholders.
