Global HSE Manager (f, m, d)

Location: Munich, Germany; international travel of approximately 30–40% is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the global HSE strategy in alignment with chemical industry requirements.
• Maintain and improve the global HSE management system through audits, risk assessments, and environmental risk analyses across international sites.
• Ensure compliance with global, regional, and internal HSE standards, including OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Support local HSE teams and promote a global Zero Harm culture focused on people and environmental safety.
• Analyze HSE performance metrics, define improvement measures, and prepare management reports and presentations.
• Lead sustainability, environmental footprint reduction, HSE communication, and external audit initiatives; act as deputy to the Global Head of HSE.

Requirements

• Degree in chemistry, process engineering, safety engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of HSE management experience in the chemical or process-based industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical, hazardous substances, environmental, and other relevant legal regulations and standards.
• Experience handling hazardous materials and implementing safety concepts in production environments.
• Strong intercultural competence and experience working with international teams.
• Business-fluent English and German, written and spoken.
