What you will do
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Aviation Safety Management System in line with ICAO, EASA, EMAR, and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation activities.
- Promote a positive aviation safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Maintain safety documentation, records, and data, including compliance reviews of amendments.
- Plan staff safety training and coordinate day-to-day Aviation Safety Management System operations.
- Liaise with aviation authorities, regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and safety professionals.
Requirements
- Degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical discipline combined with relevant aviation experience.
- Professional experience in aviation safety and Safety Management System roles.
- Strong knowledge of ICAO, EASA, (D)EMAR, or other relevant aviation safety regulations and recommended practices.
- Experience with safety risk management, safety audits, incident investigation, and relationships with aviation authorities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Native German and a high level of English proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Relevant aviation safety certifications, such as SMS Implementer or Safety Auditor.
