Quality Assurance Manager, International

Location: Remote; candidates based in or around Germany or the United Kingdom are preferred. Some overlap in working hours is required to collaborate across US, UK/EU, and Asia time zones.

What you will do

• Own international quality systems covering product release, specifications, complaints, adverse events, incidents, stability, and transit qualification.
• Release finished products after verifying specifications, certificates of analysis, manufacturing documents, deviations, and market-specific requirements.
• Build and operate EU traceability, recall and withdrawal, mock recall, complaint, adverse-event, and food safety incident processes.
• Qualify, audit, and oversee suppliers, contract manufacturers, co-packers, warehouses, distributors, and 3PL partners.
• Manage microbiological, chemical, allergen, contaminant, nutritional, and stability testing, including out-of-specification and out-of-trend investigations.
• Assess quality and regulatory risks for formulation, ingredient, supplier, process, specification, packaging, and labeling changes, while maintaining international quality KPIs and audit readiness.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, dietary supplements, or consumer health, including meaningful experience with products sold outside the US.
• Hands-on experience managing EU and international quality processes across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
• Working knowledge of EU food and food supplement requirements, including GMP, food safety, HACCP, traceability, recalls, allergen management, specifications, testing, stability, change control, product release, labeling, and claims.
• Deep experience owning CAPAs, investigations, root cause analysis, specification creation, document control, and change control.
• Experience qualifying and auditing external manufacturers and co-packers, managing recalls or market actions, and overseeing third-party laboratories.
• Comfort working with distributed teams and external partners across US, UK/EU, and Asia time zones, with some working-hours overlap.
