Software Development Engineer (AWS Federal Cloud)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid Flex Work requires at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field.

Annual base salary: $137,000–$205,400 USD for the primary location; additional U.S. locations: $123,900–$222,000 USD.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize hirify.global deployments across U.S. Federal AWS GovCloud regions.
• Develop and maintain deployment tools and analytics that improve deployment flexibility and reduce costs.
• Support Kubernetes infrastructure through patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with Federal Cyber Defense on security operations, governance, risk, compliance, and platform security health.
• Conduct resiliency failover and failback exercises.
• Perform incident management, proactive monitoring and alerting, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for work on U.S. Federal Government contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and the AWS Cloud stack.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Go, plus infrastructure automation with Terraform.
• Experience building, maintaining, and using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Argo CD.
• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana; incident troubleshooting; 24x7 on-call support; and security auditing and compliance frameworks.

Nice to have

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
• Experience with tcpdump, Unix/Linux, Python automation, Jira, Agile/Scrum, and production deployment orchestration frameworks.
