Project Manager III (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; relocation assistance is provided. Travel up to 20% may be required across hirify.global sites.

What you will do

• Establish project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, milestones, estimates, staffing plans, metrics, and reporting from a blank sheet.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, technical performance, integrated plans, and critical paths from concept through delivery.
• Coordinate engineering, facilities, supply chain, finance, quality, software, test, and supplier activities across multiple sites.
• Run stand-ups, program reviews, design reviews, technical interchanges, and gate reviews.
• Track interfaces, risks, opportunities, configuration changes, drawing-package maturity, and recovery plans.
• Apply AI-based tools to improve planning, analysis, reporting, execution, and project governance.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of project management experience on aerospace or other complex technical programs.
• Technical foundation through engineering education, technical training, skilled-trade experience, or equivalent hands-on work with complex engineered systems.
• Experience creating a new program or capability from concept, building schedules and estimates with limited historical data, and working independently in ambiguous environments.
• Familiarity with mission-critical systems, subsystem integration, development and qualification lifecycles, and configuration management.
• Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools, strong communication and presentation skills, and experience building metrics.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX, Teamcenter, Primavera P6, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, or Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with aerospace product lifecycle phases, critical path scheduling, integrated master schedules, earned value, cost basis development, or proposal work.
• Experience coordinating facilities, construction, capital projects, activation, and site readiness.
• AI-enabled workflow or analytics experience, including SQL or other coding ability.
• PMP certification or equivalent credential.
