Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Launch sites in Sweden, Wallops, Vandenberg, and other emerging locations; up to 25% domestic and international travel required. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Drive programmatic, technical, and legal activities for the Alpha launch program across current and emerging launch sites.
• Develop project proposals and contract language, justify revenue opportunities, and partner with Business Development.
• Manage integrated master schedules, project budgets, performance metrics, and ramp-up execution.
• Coordinate requirements, risks, hazard analyses, and compliance activities with engineering, software, operations, and test teams.
• Lead launch-site feasibility studies, cost trades, site activation, and operations readiness.
• Drive range-safety compliance and create training and certification tracking for launch-console personnel.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in project management and 2+ years in aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of launch-vehicle and launch-pad development engineering requirements.
• Experience enforcing requirements in safety documentation such as AFSPCMN 91-710 and GSFC-STD-8009 at a government-owned facility.
• Experience leading site development through activation and operations and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, computer, MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, and MS Excel skills; familiarity with Atlassian products and Odoo.
• Must meet applicable U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Project Engineering, or Aircraft Operations.
• Experience serving in a primary console position during orbital launch operations from a U.S. federal range.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, FAA Part 450, and requirements-tracking tools.
• PMP certification or equivalent experience.
