Project Manager I (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage projects from initiation and design through execution, delivery, release, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, milestones, and status reports.
• Coordinate resources and cross-functional inputs from sustainment engineering, integrated logistics support, technical publications, configuration management, and liaison engineering.
• Support green-aircraft sustainment activities, baseline reviews, configuration updates, engineering change routing, and technical disposition integration.
• Track project interfaces, risks, dependencies, test-plan alignment, engineering actions, and handoffs across integrated product teams.
• Serve as a Control Account Manager on larger programs and communicate project impacts to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or qualifying related experience in place of the degree.
• At least 2 years of project management or related technical experience; 6 years of related experience is required without a degree.
• Experience managing projects and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organization, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional engineering and logistics teams while managing multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools, project budgets, scope, resources, and risk management.
• Familiarity with government contracting, regulations, configuration-controlled documentation, and engineering change processes.
