Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent (Mission Critical)

What you will do

• Support project managers in developing and maintaining project schedules, including installation methods, sequencing, and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate project priorities with field staff and subcontractors while maintaining productive working relationships.
• Maintain daily logs, work orders, tickets, and site-condition reports; identify issues early and implement solutions.
• Organize the site team and arrange temporary site facilities and utilities.
• Identify and expedite long-lead items and support project delivery within budget, quality, schedule, and safety objectives.
• Manage punch-list and closeout activities through owner and architect acceptance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, and other project-specific software.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to administer construction safety procedures and coordinate safety requirements for subcontractors.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
