Senior Trade Compliance Analyst (m/f/d) (Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment)

Location: Remote - Germany; regional responsibility for the EU, UK, and Switzerland

What you will do

• Serve as the primary trade compliance contact for EU, UK, and Swiss import and export activities.
• Provide guidance on customs, import/export regulations, sanctions, licensing, and regulatory issues.
• Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, government authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Determine and maintain HTS, TARIC, Swiss Customs Tariff, and ECCN classifications using technical and regulatory documentation.
• Administer export licenses, BAFA portal activities, licensing determinations, and auditable compliance records.
• Own Intrastat reporting, sanctions reviews, risk assessments, corrective actions, and compliance process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, logistics, customs, trade compliance, legal studies, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in multinational trade compliance, customs compliance, consulting, or legal environments focused on import/export compliance, classification, export controls, and sanctions.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• Experience with EU, UK, and Swiss HTS/TARIC and export control classifications, as well as German and BAFA export control regulations.
• Experience with trade automation platforms such as Oracle OTM/GTM, SAP GTS, Descartes, GTC, or similar systems.
• Experience with customs brokers, customs declarations, denied party screening, sanctions reviews, Intrastat reporting, and Microsoft Excel data analysis.
