Director, Global Legal Compliance

Location: Covington, KY, USA preferred; remote candidates are welcome, with preference for reasonable distance for occasional in-person collaboration. Relocation is not offered.

What you will do

• Build and lead a modern global legal compliance program in partnership with the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.
• Manage trade, sanctions, anti-corruption, export controls, privacy, ethics, and cross-border compliance activities.
• Monitor regulatory changes, advise executive leadership, and design global and role-based compliance training.
• Manage whistleblower investigations, the Code of Conduct, KYC and UBO processes, corporate governance documentation, and entity management.
• Lead legal and compliance integration for acquired businesses and support intellectual property protection.
• Develop AI governance, cybersecurity governance, ESG, third-party risk, and enterprise risk management initiatives while building the future compliance team.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one US state.
• 8+ years of legal experience focused on compliance, corporate, or regulatory law in global or multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Strong business judgment and ability to partner with non-legal stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and influence across functions.
• Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical business actions.
• Experience building and scaling processes, managing outside counsel, and supporting corporate governance documentation.
