Senior Mechanical Engineer, Product Development

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Define, design, test, document, and release new mechanical products.
• Design fluid applicators, fluid management systems, automation machine frames and structures, and sheet-metal components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop robust designs that meet product requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans covering safety, regulatory, quality, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineering, product line management, and Operations to integrate designs and support prototype and beta builds.
• Plan and coordinate projects while meeting stage-gate milestones, cost targets, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• SolidWorks experience or equivalent.
• Mechanical product development experience involving testing, documentation, and manufacturing considerations.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and occasional electrical hazards.
• Estimated travel: 5–10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensors, measuring devices, control systems, and automation.
• Phase-gate and project management experience.
• Experience developing and launching new products.
• Customer interaction and factory visit experience.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, especially SAP.
