Senior Manager, New Product Development Engineering (Manufacturing)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; onsite in a manufacturing environment. Travel is estimated at 20%.

What you will do

• Lead hardware new product development roadmaps and execution for the Electronics Solutions division in Taiwan.
• Plan development activities, strategic objectives, budgets, schedules, project methods, and evaluation criteria.
• Direct a broad engineering function through department managers and technical leads while building high-performance teams.
• Coordinate system-level analysis and specifications across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware interfaces.
• Work with customers, commercial teams, strategy teams, manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to improve delivery, performance, quality, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate customer-requested customizations and resources across global teams for programs and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10 or more years of management experience.
• Broad practical experience determining and specifying system-level interfaces.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, facilitation, decision-making, analytical, strategic, critical-thinking, and financial skills.
• Strong project management skills, including event sequencing, critical-path assessment, and mitigation planning.
• Ability to communicate a clear vision, influence senior leaders, and maintain relationships with end customers.
