Field Application Engineer (Data Center Solutions)

Location: 100% remote from the eastern United States; approximately 30% travel, mainly across the US and Canada.

Total target cash range: $96,300–$178,800, $101,400–$188,300, or $110,600–$205,400 annually, depending on geographic region, plus potential incentives.

What you will do

• Serve as a technical authority for hirify.global Data Solutions products and support sales, product management, operations, customers, and colleagues.
• Evaluate customer RFQs and prepare technical and commercial costing, quotations, and proposals using CPQ and ERP systems.
• Identify modified and engineered products based on customer specifications and application requirements.
• Provide customer and distributor training, prepare compliance documentation, and review technical training materials.
• Lead strategic initiatives covering product improvement, cost reduction, product consolidation, and new product development.
• Support sales activities, closing-stage projects, voice-of-customer visits, industry standards committees, and market feedback initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering, or equivalent experience in data center cooling, infrastructure, design, and construction.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience in a technical applications role supporting data center product solutions.
• Strong technical background in air and liquid cooling solutions for data centers.
• Understanding of data center power architecture from UPS through rack and equipment level is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work remotely from the eastern United States and travel approximately 30% across the US and Canada.

• Experience with data center cooling, infrastructure, design, or construction.
• Knowledge of data center power architecture.
