Field Service Specialist II

Location: Fully remote in the United States, with regular travel to hirify.global sites and customer locations; up to 85–90% travel and extensive overnight travel required.

Salary: $80,000–$104,000 annually.

What you will do

• Commission and verify refrigeration and HVAC control systems, including E2, E3, and Site Supervisors.
• Troubleshoot system issues on-site and remotely and optimize equipment performance.
• Develop and modify controller programs using I/O legends and existing sequences.
• Execute new-store and remodel commissioning projects and complete project documentation.
• Provide site-level customer support and training for contractors and end users.
• Review technical drawings and coordinate project execution with Project Managers, Engineers, Technical Support, customers, and sales representatives.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on field experience in refrigeration, controls, or commissioning.
• Advanced understanding of refrigeration cycles, including compressors, valves, racks, and cases.
• Knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC control logic, third-party control systems, and network integrations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site assignments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, Windows, email, and internet software.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with CO₂ trans-critical or cascade refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of Modbus, BACnet, and other communication protocols.
