Location: Des Moines, IA, United States; onsite at client sites

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design development, coordination, installation, and commissioning for data center projects.
• Oversee HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, plumbing, control systems, water treatment systems, chillers, CRAC units, and cooling towers.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain project specifications and quality standards.
• Review schedules and progress, provide project updates, and troubleshoot mechanical systems during construction, startup, and commissioning.
• Maintain QA/QC/Cx documentation, including test reports, issue logs, punch lists, and turnover packages.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations, including ASTM, ASME, ASHRAE, and AISC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or four additional years of related experience.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in data centers or critical environments.
• 3+ years of senior-level construction management or design management experience.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical design principles, and relevant software such as AutoCAD.
• Ability to work onsite at client locations in the United States.
