Specialist, Safety & Compliance

Location: San Diego, California, or Santa Ana, California; frequent regional travel with occasional overnight stays required

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually plus a 10% bonus

What you will do

• Support the implementation of safety and regulatory compliance programs across assigned locations and business functions.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits to identify operational risks.
• Support vehicle and DOT compliance activities.
• Track corrective actions, compliance tasks, training records, and regulatory documentation.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate safety training and engagement activities, and prepare reports, presentations, and data analysis.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, influence, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience supporting compliance programs, audits, reporting, training coordination, and operational safety initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region, including occasional overnight stays.
• Valid driver's license and valid U.S. employment authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• ASSP certification or related safety credentials.
