Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Location: Redmond, Oregon, United States; primarily on-site at manufacturing and warehouse facilities

Salary: $62,280.00–$76,120.00 per year

What you will do

• Conduct safety and environmental audits, identify risks, and support regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees and supervisors.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation, including permits, reports, and training records.
• Monitor hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal, and support sustainability reporting.
• Develop emergency response plans, lead drills, and integrate safety practices with operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in EHS compliance, auditing, or program administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations and occupational safety standards.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and federal regulations and prepare clear policies, reports, and training materials.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an active industrial environment, including walking through facilities, climbing ladders or stairs, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
