Electrician - E&I Journeyman

Location: Whiting, Wisconsin, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Starting pay: $43.16 per hour. Sunday and contractual holiday work is paid at double time under the CBA.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on paper machines, folios, embossers, roll-wrap, cutsize, and shared mill systems.
• Troubleshoot, install, rebuild, and repair electrical and process-control equipment.
• Maintain electrical systems, motor starters, lighting circuits, power distribution equipment, and industrial controls.
• Support Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs, variable-speed AC/DC drives and motors, transmitters, control valves, control loops, and DCS.
• Respond to service calls and call-ins to maintain production operations.
• Maintain service records, prepare tools and parts, and recommend equipment modifications or component replacements.

Requirements

• Journeyman card and/or state license.
• Technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to read electrical prints, instructions, procedures, and equipment manuals; accurately read and record data.
• Ability to wear required PPE, work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures, climb ladders and platforms, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push up to 108 lbs, pull up to 60 lbs, and work extended shifts of up to 16 hours.
• Pass a pre-employment physical capabilities test, drug/alcohol screening, and background check; PIT certification is required.

Nice to have

• Four years of experience.
• Advanced electrical or instrumentation education and industrial experience.
