Electrician - Industrial Maintenance

Location: Filer City, Michigan, United States

Salary: $40–$42 per hour; starting salary is $40.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical equipment up to 5000 volts.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot PLCs and touch screens from Allen Bradley/Rockwell and GE.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot VFDs, including ABB and Allen Bradley PowerFlex systems.
• Maintain three-phase motors up to 1500 HP, motor controls, mechanical and electrical drives, and automation instrumentation.
• Perform multi-craft maintenance involving couplings, belts, sheaves, guards, rigging, laser alignment, and welding.
• Maintain facility systems including lighting, fire alarms, and fire suppression equipment; mentor apprentices as assigned.

Requirements

• Current State of Michigan journeyman or master electrician license required.
• Strong hands-on industrial maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to plan work and understand drawings, schematics, and instruction manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA PPE requirements, lockout procedures, NFPA70E safe electrical work practices, and NEC requirements.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
