Adolfson & Peterson Construction is a national construction manager and general contractor providing preconstruction, construction, and contracting services across multiple commercial and institutional markets.

What you will do

  • Manage safety programs for assigned construction projects in line with company requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct jobsite safety orientations, task-based training, toolbox meetings, and safety education for workers, managers, and supervisors.
  • Perform safety audits and inspections, communicate findings, and train field workers to identify and avoid hazards.
  • Coordinate with state and federal agencies and maintain relationships with OSHA programs.
  • Support regional workers’ compensation activities, including claims reviews, accident investigations, and return-to-work planning.
  • Maintain safety documentation and collaborate with project teams to anticipate and address project safety needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Management, or a related field, plus 6–8 years of directly related safety and health program management experience.
  • Experience with government inspections and audits, and knowledge of state and federal safety laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of dust control and storm water management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience conducting safety training and currently holding or being able to obtain an OSHA 500 Trainer Card for the construction industry.
  • Strong communication, integrity, prioritization, problem-solving, and project management skills; safety-sensitive work is subject to random drug testing.
