Salary: $99,000–$141,500 USD per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the facility’s health and safety programs, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
• Manage safety training for employees, new hires, contractors, and external vendors.
• Conduct audits, inspections, compliance checks, and corrective-action planning.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain safety records, metrics, regulatory documentation, and management reports.
• Promote employee engagement through the Safety Committee and mentor safety champions and specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent certifications and experience may be considered.
• At least 8 years of safety management experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and safety management systems such as VPP.
• Strong leadership, organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with safety management software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outage activities; work requires physical activity, heights, confined spaces, respirator use, and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
