Associate Specialist, Fund Administrator, IPS (Fund Administration)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $95,600–$162,400 USD per year base pay, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Review monthly fund and legal entity close packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze and report financial data, finalize fund performance, and prepare and review fund financial statements.
• Coordinate with clients, Hedge Fund Services teams, shared service teams, and external auditors.
• Research complex accounting matters, new accounting pronouncements, and evolving U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements.
• Lead client onboarding discovery and due diligence, including requirements gathering, business documentation, and system testing.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating manual processes, enhancing controls, and supporting new system functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in hedge fund accounting, fund administration, alternative investments, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment operations.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and applicable accounting standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting designation.
• Experience with external auditors, financial statement preparation, and complex accounting matters.
• Experience supporting system implementations, process improvements, or client onboarding.
