International Accounting Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned TU office at least two days per week. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $100,100–$150,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus and other incentives.

What you will do

• Lead monthly and quarterly consolidation across 30 countries, reviewing consolidations, reconciliations, workpapers, and analyses.
• Ensure accurate U.S. GAAP financial statements and timely execution of SOX internal controls.
• Oversee offshore accounting and reporting resources while mentoring and developing accounting team members.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including allocations, journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and collections.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, purchase accounting, legal entity rationalization, and integration activities.
• Prepare schedules for SEC disclosures, coordinate auditor requests, and lead accounting transformation projects.

Requirements

• Progressive accounting experience in consolidation, financial reporting, close activities, and internal controls within a multi-entity or international organization.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience applying accounting guidance to financial statements, consolidations, and reporting.
• Experience with SOX-compliant controls, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, allocations, and process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• Full-time U.S. work authorization required; employer immigration sponsorship is not available.

• Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, purchase accounting, legal entity rationalization, or post-transaction integration.
• Experience preparing quarterly SEC disclosure schedules.
• Experience leading process transformation or designing the future state of a global accounting function.
• Experience collaborating with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, SEC Reporting, and regional accounting teams.
