Underwriter (hybrid)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid role

Base salary: €2,200–€3,700 per month for a full-time position, plus potential performance-based rewards and benefits.

What you will do

• Assess medical, financial, and special risks across Life and Health insurance covers.
• Own client relationships within underwriting and provide operational and strategic support.
• Share underwriting expertise and best practices with clients and colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting frameworks and processes.
• Work with the Middle East cross-functional team on product and process innovation.
• Translate technical underwriting knowledge into commercial proposals showing benefits and impact.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Life and Health underwriting.
• Strong understanding of one or more Middle Eastern insurance markets and their regulatory and commercial environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Strong technical underwriting knowledge and confidence communicating with senior-level clients.
• Ability to lead and drive tasks and projects while collaborating with colleagues and the wider team.
• Comfort with technology, innovation, and client-facing work.

Nice to have

• Arabic language skills.
• French, Dutch, or German language skills.
• Knowledge of Life and Health product development or project management.
• Experience marketing reinsurance services.
• Experience in Life and Health claims assessment.
