Workday Financials Senior Manager (Workday)

Location: Chicago, United States

Salary: $165,000–$190,000 annual base salary; eligible for annual incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead client-facing Workday Financials engagements across pursuit, design, build, testing, and deployment phases.
• Manage projects and workstreams, including planning, delivery, prioritization, and coordination across multiple engagements.
• Provide subject matter expertise across Workday Financials modules and Customer Accounts functionality.
• Lead design and customer confirmation sessions and develop impactful recommendations through intensive data analysis.
• Build trusted relationships with university and hospital executives, including sponsored research leaders.
• Mentor and train staff in project management, workstream management, and technical areas.

Requirements

• Workday certification or equivalent practical experience in Grants Management, Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Procure to Pay, or Supplier Accounts.
• Experience configuring Workday Financials and related Customer Accounts functionality.
• Experience or deep understanding of Workday Payroll Accounting and Effort Certification.
• Typically 8–10 years of Workday and healthcare industry experience for the Finance Workstream Lead scope.
• Strong project or workstream planning, analytical, communication, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish credibility with senior, financially literate client executives.
