Environmental Engineer (Manufacturing): Leading air compliance programs, permitting, emissions reporting, and environmental performance improvements across multiple manufacturing facilities with an accent on Title V permits, emissions inventories, and Clean Air Act requirements. Focus on coordinating stack testing, regulatory submissions, inspections, audits, and compliance strategies while supporting wastewater, hazardous waste, and sustainability initiatives.

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin; work in the new office in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Travel: 20–30%.

What you will do

  • Lead air compliance programs across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Manage Title V permits, permit modifications, regulatory submissions, emissions inventories, and air compliance reports.
  • Coordinate emissions calculations, stack testing, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Interpret Clean Air Act, MACT/NESHAP, NSPS, and applicable state regulations.
  • Develop environmental compliance strategies and partner with operations to reduce environmental risk.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions while supporting wastewater, hazardous waste, training, mentoring, and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience managing air permitting and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Title V permitting, emissions inventories, Clean Air Act regulations, MACT/NESHAP, and NSPS requirements.
  • Experience working with the EPA and state environmental agencies.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • PE, CHMM, or related certification.
  • Experience with stack testing and environmental management systems.
