What you will do

  • Develop and execute strategies, roadmaps, and improvement plans for the environmental, health, and safety culture of a production organization.
  • Maintain facility processes and standards that meet OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety training for new hires, visitors, and employees, including annual OSHA and SafeStart training.
  • Conduct weekly safety audits, eyewash and fire extinguisher inspections, Safety Safari audits, evacuation drills, and near-miss investigations.
  • Manage environmental and safety expenses, documentation, SharePoint sites, and government reporting.
  • Lead safety committees and sustainability initiatives focused on zero waste to landfill and carbon emissions reduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to motivate and influence diverse production teams and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work at the Columbus, Ohio, United States facility.
