Studio Design Leader, Education

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid work model with four days in the office and flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead and collaborate on design processes for multiple K-12 and higher-education projects across different development phases.
• Develop designs from conception through design development, prepare construction documents and specifications, and coordinate project teams.
• Support project teams through construction administration for projects of varied types and sizes.
• Lead conceptual development, design charettes, critiques, project reviews, and design award submissions.
• Collaborate with Sector Leaders and staff on pursuits, awards, design development, and project resolution.
• Represent design expertise through client presentations, publications, conferences, speaking engagements, and industry events.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant design experience on educational projects.
• Client-facing experience across multiple K-12 and/or higher-education projects.
• Experience with SketchUp and 3D rendering software such as Revit, Enscape, or Lumion.
• Strong presentation, written, verbal communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate the requirements of multiple design disciplines and travel as project needs demand.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Architecture or a B.Arch professional degree.
• Licensed Architect status or ability to become registered.
• NCARB certification.
