Consultant Business Intelligence

Location: Toronto, ON — Toronto-141 Bay, 17th Floor; work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview.

Employment: Full time, regular position; 37.5 weekly hours.

What you will do

• Deliver actionable business intelligence insights through pattern recognition, data mining, statistical analysis, and data storytelling.
• Translate business requirements into effective dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
• Analyze data issues, ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness, and recommend improvements to key performance indicators.
• Research analytics best practices and recommend automation and enhancements.
• Drive data and reporting projects aligned with business goals and strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with partners across the bank and communicate findings to senior management and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of experience in credit risk or collections, or at least 5 years of business intelligence experience in banking or a leading financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, PySpark, Python, SAS, Databricks, Alteryx, Power BI, and Power Apps.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and independent analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear business presentations and documents.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• Commitment to integrity, trust, teamwork, accountability, and ethical conduct.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Power BI certification.
• Microsoft Power Automate certification.
• Databricks Developer for Apache Spark or Databricks Data Engineer certification.
