Business Applications Analyst

American Iron & Metal operates Kenny U-Pull, an automotive recycling business with 27 locations across Eastern Canada and more than 400 employees.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Canvas and Model-Driven applications with Microsoft Power Apps.
• Build automated workflows with Power Automate and integrate solutions with SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, database views, and reporting data models.
• Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using advanced DAX calculations.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, support users, and contribute to testing, deployment, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing business solutions with Microsoft technologies.
• Strong experience with Power Apps and Power Automate cloud flows.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Experience writing advanced DAX measures and calculations in Power BI.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, analytical problem-solving, and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power BI administration, Azure SQL, or Azure Data Services.
• Familiarity with Power Automate Desktop, Power Query, Git, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certifications.
